We have a deep appreciation and connection to the land. It is our mission to share the beauty of the farm setting with our guests. With a tradition of family, agriculture and service to the community, we understand ourselves to be stewards of the land. The Retreat at Evans Farms is an opportunity to share those intentions of community, family and appreciation of nature and offer experiences of connection to a beautiful environment with family, friends and associates.
We are committed to producing socially and environmentally responsible food and agricultural products as part of the local food and economic system. We use regenerative and natural techniques to grow produce and raise animals in a way that results in nutrient dense food and a healthy balanced ecosystem. We hope to do our part to cultivate an empowering and loving community through good food.
We are a 21 acre farm located in Mechanicsburg, OH. In January of 2021 Truest Farms LLC was established and so began our adventure. We are a first generation family farm that has invested everything we have to live our dream of operating a farm and producing nutritious food. All of the food at Truest Farms is produced with regenerative practices in mind with an emphasis on utilizing animals’ natural behaviors to rebuild our soils and reduce carbon in the atmosphere.
We cultivate community resilience by modeling regenerative practices that restore ecosystem health, heal our relationship with the land, and grow just and equitable food systems. The Agraria Farm is a 138-acre educational and research farm in Yellow Springs, Ohio that studies and demonstrates the benefits of regenerative practices at multiple levels — from the environmental, economic, psychological, and social, to their impact on human health and well-being. Soil regeneration is the root-bed of this work.
We are dedicated to changing the system that allows hunger to hurt our community. Our mission is to bring solutions to our food deserts and local hunger challenges. We were founded by Ambassador Tony Hall in 2015 with the generous support of the Jack W. and Sally D. Eichelberger Foundation and in partnership with United Way of Greater Dayton Area.
We conserve rich, fertile agricultural land, protect the viability of agriculture (Ohio's #1 industry), and maintain a diverse environment by protecting natural habitat for plants and wildlife. We ensure that future generations have fresh, clean water sources and encourage a functioning local food economy. Also, we preserve historical structures and sites as part of the rural and urban landscape, educate new stewards of the land, and save natural and agricultural land for the benefit of future generations.
Sustainable Economies Consulting We empower organizations to create positive economic, social, and environmental change by building their capacity to achieve measurable, long-lasting impact.
